Written for a high school music camp sponsored by The Saint Paul Conservatory of Music, this is a group of four musical settings of poems from Paul Fleishman's Newbery Award-winning collection "Joyful Noise." These are wonderfully inventive poems for two spoken voices about the inner lives of insects. The instrumental parts were written for teenage musicians of moderatly advanced abilities, although the third movement features a guitar solo with a more developed emotional range.
